Free practice · Norskprøven muntlig

Rehearse the phrases that are actually on the exam.

Two free hours of Norwegian speaking practice for the Norskprøven muntlig — not ordering coffee or checking into a hotel, but the real exam topics: talking about your own life and giving your opinion. Built to practice hands-free, on your commute or a walk.

Why café phrases won't get you through

Open almost any language app and you'll rehearse ordering a coffee, booking a hotel, asking where the bathroom is. Handy on holiday. Useless in the exam room. The Norskprøven muntlig never asks you to order anything. It asks you to talk about your own life — your family, your job, your daily routine — and, at B1, to say what you think and why.

So that's what these videos drill: the actual exam topics, in the first person, until you can say them without stopping to translate in your head. No tourist phrases. Just the Norwegian that gets you through the test.

How the practice works

Every phrase follows the same rhythm, and it works with your eyes closed — made for the bus, a walk, or the background while you cook.

1

Hear it in English

You hear the meaning first, so you always know what you're aiming to say.

2

Say it in Norwegian

A short pause lets you produce it yourself, out loud — the part that actually builds recall.

3

Hear it twice

A native Oslo voice says the Norwegian twice, so you can check yourself and copy the sound.

Two videos, one for each exam level

Same 18 topics, at both levels of the oral exam. Start at A2, move up to B1.

A2Permanent residence

1:14:04

75 minutes, 18 exam topics. Describe your own life in Norwegian — family, work, daily routine, plans — the way the A2 oral exam asks you to.

B1Citizenship

1:42:53

1 hr 43 min across the same 18 topics, at B1: express opinions and give reasons («Jeg synes … fordi …») — exactly what the citizenship-level exam tests.

Every topic the exam actually covers

These are the everyday subjects the examiner draws from — the chapters in both videos.
